Traditional Indian spices combine with rooibos leaf to create a spiced chai with the season’s boldest flavours.
After becoming concerned with how reliant they were on tea from China the British East India Company began promoting the growing of Assam tea in the plantations of India and Ceylon in the 19th century for the British market. It took another hundred years before the local Indian population began to embrace the tea drinking culture, however, instead of the traditional English way of drinking tea, with small amounts of milk and sugar, the Indian vendors preferred to add a mixture of spices to their tea. tea. We are happy to offer a special chai blend of our own using traditional Indian spices; Blended with fine, caffeine free, rooibos leaves from Southern Africa, you're sure to love.
