The exceptional Darjeeling green tea produced here has been hand picked and allowed to slowly dry naturally before being steam dried and rolled. The rolled leaves are then left to naturally dry to completion.

After successful experiments growing tea in the Darjeeling region in the 1840's the Steinthal Tea Estate was the first to be planted in 1852 by German priest Joachim Stoelke known locally as 'Father Steinthal'. Many of the original trees still exist and are harvested to this day. No other commercially grown tea can hope to come close to history that exists in every cup of Steinthal Estates darjeeling.
