Character
A classic Assam tea with a traditional malt flavour and the strength of brew that are expected of all good Assams.Story
Dotted along the Brahmaputra River in Assam, India's north eastern province are a row of tea gardens where the rich, bold and malty flavoured Assam teas are grown. Within these plantations is one of the oldest, the Harmutty estate, originally founded in 1870 and named for Queen Hiramati the wife of King Arimatta whose ancient kingdom encompassed much of the Assam province. The golden tipped leaves from the Harmutty estate have an earthy aroma and a strong but pleasant malty and fruity flavour like like a deep red wine.Brew
