Ceylon Orange Pekoe
What Is Orange Pekoe
Orange Pekoe is one of the most famous terms in the tea world. The word orange doesn't refer to the colour or fruit instead Orange Pekoe refers to a grading system in which tea leaves are separated by the size of the leaf. Orange Pekoe as a grade refers to the whole leaf and tip. The word orange has been taken from the Dutch House of Orange-Nassau who were associated with the Dutch East India Company, the original tea company who pioneered the importing of tea throughout Europe.
