Dong Ding Oolong
CharacterBrewed to a yellow hay colour and producing a light buttery-herbaceous aroma with a hint of vanilla.
In 1855 Tainwanese student Lin Fengchi traveled to China's Fujian province to take the Imperial Civil Service exam, after he had taken the exam Fengchi was invited to go sightseeing in the Wuyi Mountains where he collected a number of young tea plants. When Fengchi returned to Taiwan he planted the seedlings on the Dong Ding Shan mountain in the Nanous Lugo region. Due to the wild nature and difficult terrain of the mountainous region where the Dong Ding Oolong leaves are harvested the plants can only be picked by hand.
