Character
A golden amber cup with a oaky aroma and a smooth, slightly floral taste.Story
India produces two of the most well known types of tea in the world; Assam and Darjeeling which are both grown in the north of the country however southern India also produces it's own tea, the much less well known Nilgiri tea grown in the Blue Mountains where growing conditions are much closer to those found in Sri Lanka and the resulting tea is closer to Sri Lanka's famous Orange Pekoe.
Nilgiri became home to tea cultivation after it was surrended to the British East India Company at the end of the 4th Anglo Indian war. Three decades later an English doctor visited the Blue Mountains and started the first tea plantation in the area.
