While it's virtually unheard of for the locals to drink apple tea they offer so freely, preferring instead to drink very strong, bitter black tea, many tourists find themselves falling in love with this sweet citric drink and seeking it out when they return home. Typically authentic Turkish apple tea is served cold and not hot then drunk in a manor more akin to fruit juice than tea, either way we just love the sweet apple taste and vitamin C kick. Next time you're making a cup consider spicing things up by adding a cinnamon stick or fresh mint leaves for an or an added zing!
