Our Green Credentials
At Red Leaf Tea we love tea and to make sure that we can continue to enjoy it every day we do everything we can to minimise our global impact
In the office we adhere to a green policy by reducing our overall wastage, reusing what we can can and recycling everything else.
Data centres use a lot of power; power to run servers, power to run cooling, power to run lighting, security system and monitoring equipment. All of our web and email servers are part of the carbon offset program; planting trees to balance the pollution produced.
Our packaging is made from 100% recycled cardboard and recycled tin and we are always looking for ways to improve the environmental impact of our packaging.
We drink an awful lot of tea in the Red Leaf Tea office which means an lots of used tea leaves remaining; rather than the bin all of the leftover soggy leaves go straight into our herb garden where they become a rich (and as a bonus a nice smelling) compost.
Sustainability in tea production is very important to us that's why we only use tea grown in a low impact manor. In addition to being grown free of chemical pesticides we are working to source all of our teas from Rainforest Alliance certified farms and gardens.
We source all of our teas and products from developing countries in line with the Fair Trade guidelines; this includes ensuring workers receive fair wages, access to medical facilities for workers and their families and primary education for workers children.
